Jamestown College Jamestown College, in Jamestown, North Dakota is a private four-year liberal arts school. The F.I.S.H. Foundation, Inc., has given the school a grant that will support opportunities for overseas learning and service by students through the school’s Nursing Department. The Nursing Department operates an established program with a Presbyterian hospital in Chogoria, Kenya, at the base of Mount Kenya. The purposes of the grant will be to help the school cover the expenses of sending nursing instructors and nursing students from its nursing program to Chogoria and to furnish medical supplies. The Nursing Department—taking the lead in work with those in the Chogoria area—will also work closely with other Jamestown College departments to enable students in other disciplines to participate in the Chogoria project. Another component of this grant will in turn bring two members of the Chogoria community to Jamestown College for the opportunity to study in an American setting. The F.I.S.H. Foundation, Inc., is pleased to partner with Jamestown College to help expand the college’s programs and to help support the people of Kenya who will also benefit from the partnership.
