The F.I.S.H. Foundation, Inc., is proud to partner with the Mission Committee of the First Presbyterian Church of Nashville, TN, in their sponsorship of a dynamic leadership- training program run through the University of Pretoria’s theology department under the leadership of Dr. Malan Nel. The program directed by Dr. Nel works to give pastors throughout South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia a theological education, which for many of them would be unobtainable without this program. Most of the pastors have about an eighth grade education, and otherwise would not qualify for structured academic training in the major disciples of theological training for ministry. These pastors have been called by their communities for the task of leading congregations, but have prior to this certificate program been unable to receive formal training for their work.
