Omega Institute offers workshops, retreats, trainings, conferences, and vacations to individuals who seek hope and healing. The F.I.S.H. Foundation, Inc., gave a grant to Omega for three different projects. Funds were given first to the new Women’s Leadership Center to cover start-up costs for creation of the center’s new core social networking and online communications programs. The second area of funding was the Women’s Leadership Center’s annual Women and Power Conference, which is to be held in September 2010. Funds were also given to a conference on bringing mindfulness practice to children in grades K–12. The funds cover the expenses of introducing mindfulness into the school curriculum in order to foster students’ inner calm, increased awareness, and a sense of well-being.
