Dorothy B. Hanle, founder and chairwoman of the F.I.S.H. Board of Trustees, is an active elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). She formerly was president and CEO of Dayton Auto Center and proprietor of Whitlock Tavern in Dayton, New Jersey. Upon retirement, Ms. Hanle decided it was time to serve others through a ministry on behalf of Christ, and thus she founded this private foundation.
The Rev. Dr. Kathy J. Nelson president of F.I.S.H. Foundation, is a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) pastor. Reverend Nelson was pastor and head of staff of the First Presbyterian Church in Dayton, New Jersey, for 21 years. Prior to that, she was a member of the administrative staff of Princeton Theological Seminary. Dr. Nelson's first call in ministry was to serve as associate pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. She holds a doctor of ministry degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey, along with a master of theology degree in pastoral theology, as well as a master of divinity degree. Reverend Nelson's bachelor of arts degree is from Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota. Recently, with Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia, Kathy completed an advanced program in spiritual formation, and she hopes to use her gifts in ministry to help the foundation focus on the growing need for spiritual health as it pertains to the well-being of individuals.
